officially joins Snowflake's Snowpark Accelerated Program

TEKsystems Global Services and Snowflake deliver scalable, efficient solutions to help customers activate the power of the Data Cloud to increase productivity and generate critical insights. Snowpark supports Snowflake’s mission of mobilizing the world’s data by giving even more users the ability to achieve powerful data insights with Snowflake’s Data Cloud. TEKsystems Global Services is one of a select group of partners participating in the Snowpark Accelerated Program that received preview access to develop a solution.

Our solution enables customers to seamlessly transform their existing legacy monolith code base into modern and agile microservices-based architecture. Our solution offers a high degree of automation to convert complex code base by leveraging Java libraries without rewriting it from scratch. With Snowpark’s external functions, we can easily incorporate services outside of Snowflake to transform and augment data. This immensely helps in transforming legacy code base.

Snowpark is a new developer experience for Snowflake, which delivers performance and ease of use for users familiar with SQL. Now, Snowpark gives users comfortable with other languages, such as Scala and Java, the ability to write code natural for them using a widely used and familiar DataFrame model. Before Snowpark, the way users interacted with Snowflake was mostly through SQL. Customers will now be able to create and manage more workloads entirely within Snowflake’s Data Cloud without the need to manage additional processing systems. Snowpark empowers users to write code in their preferred language like Scala and Java, build efficient and powerful data transformations with familiar constructs, and bring in third-party libraries. They can execute directly with Snowflake to seamlessly leverage the Data Cloud’s performance, near-infinite scalability and near-zero maintenance.

With Snowpark, Snowflake and TEKsystems Global Services can now enable data engineers, data scientists and developers who prefer other languages to take advantage of Snowflake’s powerful platform capabilities and Data Cloud. Snowpark will be transformative for data programmability and will improve developer efficiency in creating and operationalizing pipelines at scale, from Snowflake’s single, integrated Data Cloud.
