A large bank turns to TEKsystems to manage resources dedicated to the integration of multiple systems.

The client, one of the largest banks in the United States, boasts the country’s most extensive branch network, with more than 6,100 locations covering 30 states. With a strong relationship dating back to 1998, the client trusted TEKsystems to help them through an integration of multiple systems.

Weblogic, Websphere, JBoss, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Teradata, AIX, Linux, Solaris, Unix/Linux, PERL, Cron, Wily Introscope, Foglight, Cognos, Adobe Products Microsoft Office 2007 suite

The client’s acquisition of two large banks required an integration of applications into its existing enterprise environment. To drive this effort, the client’s IT department was responsible for analyzing all existing systems, prioritizing needs, building an integration plan and delivering a merged system. Complicating matters, its IT department faced a backlog of 200-300 requests related to the existing systems at the onset of the integration efforts. Additionally, the go-live dates for both bank acquisitions required aggressive timelines for the project implementation. Consequently, the client needed to quickly mobilize a team that could close out the backlogged requests and begin working on new project priorities.

In supporting this complicated initiative, TEKsystems took on the role of consultant and trusted project partner. Under this arrangement, we worked with the client to create a workflow through a single point of contact to qualify work orders and define timelines.

Benefits experienced by the client include:

  • Quick mobilization and onboarding of 50 quality recruits within 45 days
  • Creation of training and onboarding materials for future use
  • Tracking of hours expended for any effort and connecting these expenses directly to billing systems
  • Flexibility to ramp up and down supplemental staff as needed
  • Co-employment risk mitigation
  • More accountability by TEKsystems for outcomes
