In the IT advisory space, Gartner and Forrester Research loom large. IT leaders respect their independent analysts’ deep knowledge about IT providers, services and technologies—and trust the objectivity of their recommendations. We’re excited to share that TEKsystems was recently called out by both in recent research notes.
IT hiring challenges
Drawing on our wide polling of IT leaders and consultants—and validating the soundness of our research methodology—Forrester Research used our recent IT hiring trends survey results in research notes from Marc Cecere and Claire Schooley. These notes (available for purchase through Forrester) provide advice to IT leaders on designing, staffing and managing their IT organizations.

"This shows TEKsystems produces thought leadership that is relevant to our clients, our consultant base and well-regarded third parties like Forrester. Hundreds of CIOs and other IT leaders will see these documents over the next couple months and will take away from them that Forrester considers us a thought leader in this space and respects our research," says Karsten Scherer, analyst relations lead for TEKsystems.
Identity and access management maturity
Gartner also recently highlighted TEKsystems as a vendor to watch in the identity and access management (IAM) consulting and implementation field.
Given the many examples of information security breaches we've seen over the last several years, it's no surprise that security is a critical priority for our clients and prospects. Like anyone else trying to make the best possible decision in a universe of options, business leaders look to credible, third-party sources for advice. Gartner, an IT research and advisory firm, is the go-to partner for CIOs worldwide for counseling on IT technology, roadmaps and outsourcing decisions. One of its main coverage areas is information security.
Every year Gartner publishes dozens of "hype cycles" that cover the maturity, adoption and business application of specific technologies. This year's hype cycle for IAM technologies specifically highlights TEKsystems—along with established players like Accenture, Deloitte, KPMG, CSC and HP—as a vendor to watch in this space. Why is this noteworthy? Vendors are only mentioned in these publications after being thoroughly vetted by the analyst community.
For many years, clients have viewed TEKsystems as the preeminent IT staffing firm. What’s different is that IT advisory giants like Gartner and Forrester are recognizing TEKsystems alongside larger IT services providers for providing IT thought leadership and mature IT services.
