Operating across five subsidiary entities, our customer needed to scale SAFe adoption through their centralised Agile Transformation Office (ATO). Only one subsidiary had reached a workable level of SAFe execution, while the remaining entities remained in the nascent stages of adopting Agile ways of working.
Our customer required proven SAFe and Jira expertise to strengthen the leading subsidiary while building foundational Agile capability across the other entities. With transformation ambitions spanning multiple entities at markedly different levels of maturity, they needed a partner able to operate credibly at both team execution and executive leadership levels.

We deployed a domain-specialised, Japanese-speaking SAFe Practice Consultant and a Jira Expert to drive strategic agility and tooling maturity uplift across the subsidiaries. Operating as a trusted extension of the ATO, our consultants combined hands-on coaching with strategic advisory to accelerate adoption while remaining sensitive to the local cultural nuances and operational realities of each subsidiary.
- ATO Embedment: Operated as part of the central Agile Transformation Office, coordinating directly with the Lean-Agile Centre of Excellence (LACE) in each subsidiary to translate global SAFe direction into local practice.
- Maturity Roadmap: Established maturity goals with the leading IT subsidiary's LACE and guided them through fortnightly checkpoints to progress SAFe adoption.
- Foundational Coaching: Coached Scrum Masters across early-stage teams on Scrum roles, ceremonies and day-to-day delivery practices.
- Jira Enablement: Provided guidance on Jira and Jira Align configuration and adoption across teams that had no prior experience with the tooling.
- Leadership Engagement: Facilitated workshops on value streams and strategic agility to build executive buy-in and progressively transition away from Waterfall.
