Our client is one of the largest financial services providers in the world, with presence in 60+ countries globally.
The challenge:Big Data Means Big Migrations
As part of their long-term data security and compliance roadmap, our client planned to migrate data from EMEA and South Asia to China and build a robust financial crime monitoring system. However, they lacked sufficient knowledge on how to use the source data, optimise initial costs, and tackle potential system shutdowns and other security issues.
To address these challenges, our client needed a team of highly skilled technical experts who could onboard within two months and deliver this critical big data platform migration. Furthermore, the resources needed to be fluent in English communication, and well-versed with Hadoop, Spark, Scala, Microservice, Elasticsearch, AKKA, GCP, and AngularJS tools.
With the specific expertise needed by our client, TEKsystems had the capacity to hit the ground running.

TEKsystems was selected as the primary partner to deploy a dedicated project team for this big data migration. We partnered with our client’s Project Managers to understand the ins and outs of the project and map out the key milestones.
Aligned to their requirements, TEKsystems deployed one Big Data Development Lead, five Senior Big Data Engineers, three Senior DevOps Engineers, four Java Developers, and two Frontend Developers within two months. Minimum time. Minimum fuss. Maximum quality.

Our team of experts played a pivotal role in helping our client migrate their financial crime supervision platform. This, in turn, created significant business impact by bolstering compliance and reducing numerous financial penalties.
In addition to deploying 15 skilled technical resources locally in China, we also relocated 15 data management team members from our client's EMEA and South Asia locations to China to drive this migration. Integral to our success was the regular meetings with key stakeholders to monitor project status, exchange feedback, and ensure that our consultants’ performance surpassed our client’s expectations.
