Our client is a China-based interactive gaming and entertainment company engaging over 500 million registered users across 200+ countries worldwide.
The challenge:Testing Isn’t All Fun and Games
Our client’s Quality Assurance (QA) team based in China had about 40 members, who were responsible for the end-to-end software testing of 50+ games. Several games launched by our client generated revenues more than 10 million RMD daily and required weekly iteration updates to minimise any unexpected technical glitches and ensure that all functionalities worked smoothly. With limited bandwidth, our client's testing team was struggling to cope with the tight schedule and massive workload.
Our client secured the authorisation to release two additional games, creating even more pressure on their in-house testing team as they did not have the resources to complete the tasks, even if they stretched their daily working capacity. This prompted our client to engage suppliers who could provide additional bandwidth for software testing and the flexibility to quickly scale up and down as needs changed.

To deliver on our client's requirements, TEKsystems quickly set up a delivery team of five testing-specialist recruiters and a dedicated account manager. Our team sat down with our client's IT leadership to understand their game development and testing roadmap, identify the deficiencies in their existing team, and define the project timelines. Flexibility and risk mitigation were vital cogs in our solution.
Leveraging our pre-qualified networks of strong talent within the gaming industry, TEKsystems was able to identify skilled testing resources aligned to our client’s needs within 24 hours. We ensured that every consultant went through a rigorous up-front screening process comprising telephone screen, in-person interviews, and references to validate their technical knowledge and soft skills – all conducted before we presented their profile to our client for the final interview. During the entire hiring process, TEKsystems met with key stakeholders on a weekly basis to provide updates, exchange feedback, and ensure alignment between all parties.
