The challenge:Entering into Unchartered Territory

As part of their efforts to launch their fleet and mobility management product in India, our client’s CIO aimed to set up an IT Delivery Centre of 150+ resources in Pune. Having limited knowledge of the nuances of the luxury automotive market in India, they needed SMEs who knew the ins and outs of this domain, could help our client form the right strategic alliances, and accelerate their market penetration efforts.

Our client needed access to skilled technical and functional resources who could enhance their data analysis, UX/UI design, and Azure computing capabilities. Lacking the expertise in-house, our client partnered with TEKsystems to quickly ramp up their IT team with high-quality consultants.

TEKsystems’ account management and delivery teams met with our client’s leadership to scope their requirements, including their preference to have resources with prior replicable experience within the lending or fleet management domains. Implementing our staffing talent solution, we conducted an extensive market mapping exercise to provide in-depth insights on the availability of resources across different SDLC skillsets within these specific domains.

Leveraging our extensive networks and referral-based sourcing strategies, we quickly identified a shortlist of suitable consultants who had previously worked at other lending and fleet management companies and possessed an innate understanding of the local market. Within a four-month period, TEKsystems deployed eight consultants on-site at our client’s Pune location. This includes one Full-Stack Engineer (Angular + .NET), two Backend Engineers (.NET), two Data Engineers (Azure Cloud), two Business Analysts, and one Scrum Master.

Leveraging their in-depth domain knowledge, our consultants have played a pivotal role in the pre-launch of our client’s fleet and mobility management application into the Indian market. By uplifting their cloud computing and data processing and analytics capabilities, our consultants have enabled our client to better understand their target users and customise the product to their needs and expectations. The user interface of both the mobile and web versions of the application has also been significantly upgraded. In addition, they advised our client to form key strategic partnerships with other India-based vehicle-sharing, ride-hailing, and mobility service providers.

Four of our consultants have received exceptional recognition from our client, and our Business Analyst was selected to deliver product demonstrations and user trainings to key stakeholders in their Spain and Germany locations.
