Our client is a multi-billion-dollar technology enterprise offering a comprehensive suite of software solutions and digital applications.

The challenge:Testing Troubles
Our client faced an urgent need to streamline and automate their software testing and quality assurance (QA) engineering processes at scale. Their internal QA teams were constrained by the time and significant effort required to manually write and execute a high volume of test cases, which slowed down release cycles and created several inconsistencies in test coverage. Compounding this challenge was a significant backlog of 42,000 test cases.
Traditional automation testing approaches were inefficient and unsustainable at this scale, prompting our client to develop a proprietary AI-powered solution that could autonomously convert manual test cases into automated scripts. Their goal was to enable continuous integration and delivery across both customer-facing and internal platforms. To achieve this, the AI tool needed to be scalable and integrate seamlessly with existing repositories and workflows. Lacking the subject-mater expertise internally, our client partnered with TEKsystems to actualise their AI ambitions.
Our proposal:Activating Automation
Entrusted with delivering this high-stakes testing transformation, TEKsystems hit the ground running. To address our client’s capability gaps, we swiftly deployed a high-performance team of 15 Full-Stack Developers to custom-design the AI-driven test automation tool.
From the outset, we placed a strong emphasis on bringing in consultants with deep AI expertise and knowledge of industry best practices, who also demonstrated exceptional innovation and a solution-oriented mindset. This strategic focus enabled our team to move with agility, respond to evolving requirements, and deliver a scalable, future-ready solution.
Designed in conjunction with our client’s technical leadership, TEKsystems’ solution was engineered to integrate seamlessly with the internal repositories and existing QA workflows. Key components included:
- AI-Driven Test Conversion: The AI tool was programmed to automatically ingest test cases written by manual QA engineers and convert them into executable automation scripts using AI models.
- Automation Framework Integration: Leveraging REST Assured (an open-source Java library), the AI tool supported robust API testing and integrated seamlessly with CI/CD pipelines.
- End-to-End Workflow Automation: Once a test case was submitted, the tool fetched it from the repository, generated the automation script, executed it, emailed the results (pass/fail), and committed the output back to the source control.

Real-world Results
Developed by TEKsystems’ technical experts, the AI tool delivered measurable business impact by automating the conversion of manual test cases into executable scripts with minimal human input. This significantly reduced manual effort, improved test accuracy, and enabled faster feedback loops within the SDLC for our client’s 6,500 QA engineers globally. The AI tool’s ability to autonomously execute, validate, and commit test results streamlined the entire QA process and ensured consistent, repeatable testing across environments.
Phase I of the rollout successfully addressed the initial backlog of 29,000 simpler test cases – completed on time and without disruption to BAU operations. The AI tool not only generated automation scripts but also executed them, validated outcomes, and committed results directly to our client’s repositories. This eliminated the need for manual scripting and reduced human errors and data discrepancies, while improving traceability and auditability of test results.
Phase II was also completed on time, covering the automation of an additional 13,000 complex test cases. Supported by TEKsystems’ Solution Architect and Delivery Manager, our team maintained 100% consultant retention throughout the project, ensuring seamless continuity, knowledge management, and operational stability.
