Job Description:

POSITION PURPOSE:

Functions as an Infrastructure Systems Engineer operating as the technical design lead for the solutions and architecture, specific to business continuity and disaster recovery for current technologies and processes. Develop and review solution design artifacts for Information Technology (IT) projects by partnering with internal and external contributors, translating business requirements, adhering to architect infrastructure and security standards and producing Disaster Recovery (DR) action plans to deliver innovative, high-quality and cost-effective solutions that meet business needs.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Contribute to the development and maintenance of the IT architectural roadmap by performing risk assessments and producing and evaluating solution designs for internal projects.
Drive conceptual design strategies by reviewing architecture work products to ensure quality, traceability, effectiveness and timeliness of the solution design processes.
Validate application architecture for proposed solutions, and act as resource for system issues and outages.
Support the impact analysis of solution designs for changing business requirements.
Work closely with Project Management, Vendor, Development and QA staff and business partners to ensure availability, capacity, configuration, governance, and release management standards are defined and implemented.
Analyze existing systems and recommend redundant, fault-tolerant solutions to ensure business continuity and duplication of all critical data.
Devising, scheduling and implementing business continuity tests and analyzing results.
Project lead for new technology initiatives as well as those related to business continuity and disaster recovery.

Assist in Design, Plan, Setup and Maintain all Production DATA Systems and Network Infrastructure for company.
Support the maintenance of business and application domain architecture by collaborating with enterprise architecture subject matter experts and third -party application architects. Assist in Manage production systems, maintained, Support and improved Systems services and enterprise Server platforms.
Generate and/or update DR action plans to meet business recovery objectives as defined by the business continuity process.
Develop and execute test network and systems security vulnerability. Report on findings and make recommendations for improvement.
Support information security principles by designing secure solutions and adhering to security standards and guidelines.
Any other duties as required to ensure the Health Plan operations are successful.
Ensure the privacy and security of PHI (Protected Health Information) as outlined in company's policies and procedures relating to HIPAA compliance.
Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience (see Experience qualifications). Certifications: MCSE, CCNP, or equivalence experience
Minimum 7 years of enterprise working experience with both Network and Systems Design and Administration.
Designed and implemented network and systems infrastructure for Business continuity and Disaster Recover Site .
Extensive Experience with Systems, Network, Security and the following but not limited to: VMWare, VMotion, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, NTP, TCP/IP, Exchange Message infrastructure, IIS, SAN Management, Cisco Routing and Switching, ASA, Perimeter Security Solutions.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

Advance understanding in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans.
Working knowledge of configuration and adaptation, deployment, design patterns, risk management and scalability.
Hands-on experience with Disaster Recover Site, Proven experience in systems, network and security design.
Expert knowledge in TCP/IP operation, Cisco solutions, VMWARE, Windows Servers, Exchange, Active Directory, LDAP and SAN technology.
