Job Summary

Our client is currently seeking 5 Systems Administrators to support a large initiative to migrate Hitachi Storage Servers to IBM and SAN arrays.

They are looking for 4 Linux Admins and 1 Windows Admin to join their team in support of remote overnight work to complete this project in the next 6-12 months.

The first 30 days of the project will consist of onsite/day shift hours to meet with the team and get trained/acclimated with the technical environment.

From there, consultants will be able to complete their overnight work remotely from home.

Currently, our client is spending a lot of money to lease equipment from Hitachi, IBM and EMC and they are looking to consolidate their spending and resources by migrating everything off of Hitachi by the end of 2018.

The Linux Administrators should have hands on experience configuring SUSE or RedHat systems to attach to SAN storage arrays. These consultants will be responsible for configuring servers to use SAN, they will have servers that are dual-attached, will need to copy these servers, and then cut-off the Hitachi equipment during overnight shifts.

These roles will not require consultants to write code, but will be able to follow a pre-existing script that is thoroughly documented, there will be checkpoints that need to be completed and decisions that need to be made along the way.
