Contract to Hire
The general purpose of the position is to provide technical and analytical skills related to the designing, developing, programming, and testing of computer software. It is also to provide leadership and training for those programmers with less experience or skills. This position will spend 20-30% in the code and 70-80% leading, mentoring, and making sure deadlines are met. Also responsible for timecards, code reviews, project allocation, scrum meetings, and resource allocation.
Candidates must have a working knowledge of a specific set of programming language constructs such as Visual Basic, structured programming methods, and object oriented design/programming methods. Must also have a working knowledge of files and relational data structures as well as a working knowledge of Desktop (Windows) and Network (UNIX and/or Windows NT) operating systems.
Top Three Skills:-Previous supervisory/lead experience
This person will be leading a mid-size group of 15-20 people. The group size can vary based on projects and amount of contractors. Preference is to have lead teams with around 10 people. This person will be responsible for timecards, small transactions, project allocation, budget allocation, resource allocation, meeting project deadlines, etc.
- Agile and Scrum Environment Experience
Will need experience leading morning scrum meetings, updating and using the information in Rally (systems used for project tracking)
- Experience with document composition technologies
A few of these technologies would be GMC (printnet-t or inspire versions), XmPi, or HP extreme. This type of work background is important because the team they will be leading is focused on document composition work which is taking client information and documents and formatting them correctly into printable versions.
