Some experience with Oracle Database and SQL.
The class is about operating system administration of Oracle RAC and DB components and it is intended to serve both UNIX administrators and Oracle DBAs. Currently, UNIX administrators have very little insight on Oracle RAC, CRS and ASM components; and DBAs do not have much liberty to administer these components since they do not have privileges at the Linux/UNIX level. This course covers Oracle RAC and all of the associated components to manage and maintain a high-performance environment to provide multiple interconnected computers or servers that appear as if they are one server to end users and Oracle applications. The course covers Oracle Clusterware for the infrastructure to bind multiple servers so they operate as a single system. We also cover Oracle ASM that automatically maximizes I/O performance by managing the storage configuration across the SAN disks.
This course is designed for individuals who are UNIX/Linux Administrators or Database Administrators.
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
  • Understand Oracle RAC Components
  • Review Oracle Database Internals
  • Explore Clusterware stacks
  • Learn ASM configuration
  • Understand Cache Fusion Internals
  • Configure Linux Ops
  • Use CRSCT for Clusterware Ops
  • Use SRVCT for ASM Ops
  • Use SRVCT for RAC Ops
  • Use Other Oracle Tools
  • Review Deprecated Features
