Working Your Project Plan

Course Code

MQ816

Duration

3 Days

None

This workshop assumes that participants have taking a workshop such as Project Management Fundamentals or an equivalent that familiarizes participants with the project planning processes. Each day will have two brief breaks in the morning and again in the afternoon. All topics will be supported with a PowerPoint presentation and, where applicable and pertinent, a case study exercise. Participant guides will include modules, exercises, and templates.

In the Working Your Project Plan workshop, you will experience and practice techniques to keep your project moving smoothly through its execution. Led by a PMP-certified facilitator, you will learn tips and tricks to manage the project, the people, and the politics that so often derail good project. Use performance reporting and conversations to keep your stakeholders informed. Leverage trend analysis and earned value management for project status. And because there is no such things a “perfect” execution, tackle project challenges that will encourage you to think about prevention and recovery processes. Wrap the workshop up with a project close-out process to objectively illustrate your project’s successes, analyze your project’s opportunity areas, and move your organization toward greater project management maturity.
