Toronto, Ontario – June 18, 2014 – TEKsystems®, a leading provider of IT staffing solutions, IT talent management expertise and IT services, will host an event during WorldPride 2014 in Toronto for local businesses to network and celebrate the importance of diversity in the workplace.
The event, hosted by the TEKsystems Toronto office, will feature comments by activist and openly gay athlete Scott Heggart. Heggart, who was a high school hockey player when he came out, will speak about his personal experiences and the change that can be achieved when like-minded groups partner to tackle challenges. Scott will also talk about his involvement with the You Can Play Project, which is dedicated to fighting homophobia in sports and ensuring equality, respect and safety for all athletes regardless of their sexual orientation.
