The recognition, reserved for elite partners with the AWS Security Competency, honors leading organizations that excel in helping customers drive innovation and build secure solutions on AWS.

TGS reached finalist status largely due to their innovative solution for a multistate health insurer facing serious challenges with HIPAA compliance and data integrity. They used AWS-native controls, improved identity and access management (IAM), and assembled continuous monitoring to achieve alignment with HIPAA and NIST Cybersecurity Framework 2.0 within just six weeks. As a result, all non-U.S. deployments were eliminated, security risks were reduced by 40%, and the customer experienced substantial financial benefits through mitigated breach risk and annual savings.

The awards process included a self-nomination for several categories across the geographic and global level. All AWS Partners were invited to participate and submit a nomination. Award submissions were reviewed by a third party—Canalys—and selected with special emphasis placed on customer success use cases. Additionally, there were several data-driven award categories, which were evaluated by a unique set of metrics that helped measure AWS Partners’ performance over the past year. Canalys audited the data sets to ensure that all measurements and calculations were objective and accurate. Finalists represented the top three ranked AWS Partners across each category.
