TEKsystems Named 2024 Disability Equality Index Best Place to Work for Sixth Consecutive Year
July 30, 2024 | HANOVER, MD
Honored for fostering an inclusive work environment for differently abled employees.
(HANOVER, Md., July 30, 2024) – TEKsystems, a global provider of technology, business and talent solutions for more than 80% of the Fortune 500, announced it has been named as a top scorer in the 2024 Disability Equality Index® "Best Places to Work for Disability Inclusion" by the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD) and Disability:IN®.
TEKsystems has ranked on the index for six consecutive years, recognizing its commitment to creating an inclusive, equitable workplace where differently abled employees can flourish.
In 2024, 542 businesses qualified with scores of 80 or above, including 220 Fortune 500 companies. TEKsystems, earning a score of 100, is proud to be a leader in accelerating business transformation, driving initiatives for a more diverse, inclusive and equitable tech industry.
The Disability Equality Index was created through support from the Disability Equality Index Advisory Committee, a diverse group of business leaders, policy experts and disability advocates. Now in its 10th year, the Disability Equality Index helps businesses support unemployed/underemployed individuals with disabilities, while also creating long-term value for employees and shareholders.
“Earning a top score on the Disability Equality Index reflects a strong dedication to creating a workplace where everyone can thrive. It is an acknowledgment of our unwavering commitment to disability inclusion and equity,” said Franklin Reed, executive director of global inclusion, diversity and equity at TEKsystems.
TEKsystems promotes an inclusive environment through employee resource groups (ERGs) and employee networks. One ERG in particular, ENABLED, connects and empowers differently abled individuals. Additionally, TEKsystems supports local charities and communities through its match assistance program and corporate partnerships with organizations such as the Association of University Centers on Disabilities, Council of State Administrators of Vocational Rehabilitation and Foundation Fighting Blindness.
“On the 10th anniversary of the Disability Equality Index, we're extremely proud of the 542 national and international companies that are taking a proactive role in leading progress towards disability inclusion, setting a benchmark for others to follow. Their dedication to fostering inclusive workplaces not only attracts top talent but also drives innovation and creates sustainable performance in today's global market. Together, we are creating a future where everyone can contribute and thrive,” said Jill Houghton, President and CEO of Disability:IN.
This recognition includes TEKsystems and its subsidiaries, including TEKsytems Global Services and One North.

About the Disability Equality Index®
The Disability Equality Index (DEI) is a comprehensive benchmarking tool that helps companies build a roadmap of measurable, tangible actions that they can take to achieve disability inclusion and equality. The organizations are complementary and bring unique strengths that make the project relevant and credible to corporations and the disability community. The tool was developed by the DEI Advisory Committee, a diverse group of business leaders, policy experts and disability advocates. Learn more at www.disabilityin.org.
