TEKsystems Announces New Leadership in 2023

Dec. 6, 2022 | HANOVER, MD

Mark Collins named as next president of TEKsystems, succeeding Jay Alvather

TEKsystems, a global provider of technology, business and talent solutions for more than 80% of the Fortune 500, today announced that Mark Collins will serve as the new president of TEKsystems, succeeding Jay Alvather, effective January 1, 2023.

Alvather will move on to lead parent company Allegis Group as chief executive officer. Over 27 years, Alvather has served in a variety of executive leadership positions across the enterprise, most recently as TEKsystems president. Under his leadership, the global company grew to more than $7 billion in annual revenue. He helped lead TEKsystems’ growth as a best-in-class IT talent solutions provider while transforming the company into a full-stack technology services provider—fueled by his commitment to creating opportunity and driving execution, along with his passion for fostering an inclusive, diverse and equitable culture.

“I’m incredibly honored to have served at TEKsystems. I’ve seen the company expand its service capabilities, drive significant growth and opportunity both domestically and internationally, while investing in our employees, strengthening our culture and building a more diverse and inclusive team,” said Alvather. “As I take on my new role with Allegis Group, I will continue to work closely with Mark and the other Allegis Group operating company presidents to meet the ever-changing demands of our customers, consultants and contractors. I’m incredibly optimistic about the future of TEKsystems as the company continues to evolve and grow with Mark Collins at the helm.”

Collins started at TEKsystems in 1995 and has since led offices, regions, national and strategic sales, global services and most recently expanded his role to support TEKsystems’ global operations. He has a deep understanding of the customer, a strong legacy of leadership development and the proven ability to continue to drive TEKsystems forward.

“I’m proud to take on this new role as president of TEKsystems. I’m approaching this role like I have others—rooted in our core values with a customer-first mindset, continually looking for ways in which we can add more depth to our customer relationships,” said Collins. “During my time at TEKsystems, I’ve been surrounded by incredible people and partners, and I’m grateful to work alongside them. I look forward to building upon Jay’s legacy and continuing to create significant opportunities for our customers, our consultants and our global teams.”

To support the transition, Alvather will continue his duties as president of TEKsystems through December 31, 2022.
