Post their acquisition of three large-scale advice, super, and investment businesses, our client was struggling to migrate and integrate several complex applications due to a lack of specialised big data, cloud computing, and security architecture capabilities in-house.
The challenges involved in running these initiatives necessitated the deployment of specialised Security Architects with expertise in GCP and AWS cloud platforms. Their ability to effectively plug the existing gaps, work through the backlogs, provide solid oversight and security governance, and come up with comprehensive remediation plans to address the bottlenecks would be vital. Furthermore, these Security Architects needed to have prior replicable experience in driving cloud migration and system integration projects within enterprise-scale organisations.

TEKsystems deployed three seasoned Cloud Security Architects to drive our client’s migration projects. Together, they brought 40+ years of combined experience within the risk and security domain to the table.
With their strong technical background and subject matter expertise in GCP, one of our Security Architects set up new tools and instilled best practices to mitigate security risks and ensure that the GCP big data programme was on track, on strategy, and on budget. This was invaluable to our client, as they had little to no GCP capabilities previously within the team.
Our AWS Security Architect oversaw key modules of the AWS migration, leading a team of five security architects. They also reviewed firewall rule changes, ensured proper compliance with security protocols by reviewing requests through ServiceNow, re-engineered the security assessment reporting process, and conducted ad-hoc security assessments to keep 25+ business-critical projects on course.
Throughout our engagement, our dedicated TEKsystems Delivery Lead was instrumental in providing tailored consultant onboarding-offboarding, performance management, KPI monitoring and regular status reporting, and ensuring 100% retention. As a result of the process improvements led by our consultants, our client has successfully completed key modules of their cloud migration and is ready to transition them to BAU phase.
