Networking jobs can include design and planning, administration, developing and testing of computer hardware that connects computers and other individual devices through optical fiber, Ethernet, Wireless LAN, or other means. Network scales include LAN (Local Area Network) and WAN (Wide Area Network) and many others.
Networking jobs often require a high level of understanding in IP addresses, network protocols, firewalls and security. A strong working knowledge of TCP/IP and experience servicing computer networks, servers and work stations is also important. MCSA and/or MCSE certification is preferred as well.
