Job Placement for Technical Professionals: How We Hire

We have over 20 years of experience and expertise in placing the right people in the right positions. We sustain such a high success and satisfaction rate by using a personalized approach and a precise methodology called the Successful Placement Process. It’s a proprietary “process” that differentiates our placement practices from our competitors.

Most competitors have two steps to their placement process:

  1. Take the technical requirements called in for the job requirement.
  2. Match those requirements to listed skills/certifications on a resume.

They repeat step two until they find a match – once found, job’s done, onto the next job requirement. The results of such a “technique” are highly variable.

How the TEKsystems® Process is Superior

Here are some fundamental differences in how we conduct these first two steps:

First, understanding job requirements goes beyond reading a bulleted list of requirements and certifications.We have recruiters who are specialists in their field. They understand the client’s business, industry, and work environment. They make sure you understand exactly what will be expected of you and that you have the necessary background, work experience, and personality to be a good fit.

Second, our search for talented technical professionals doesn’t start on receipt of a client’s job requirement. We are constantly identifying, seeking out, and recruiting professionals to become part of our network. Companies know we make extra efforts to find the best people in their field, so they trust us to fill key positions. This allows us to offer more and better opportunities.

Once we’ve matched you with the job opportunity we think you’re perfect for, we then:

  1. Call you and ensure that this opportunity is right for you
  2. Personally interview you and offer coaching tips to help you secure the job
  3. Ensure your technical skills are current
  4. Check your work history
  5. Screen for a Government Security Clearance (when necessary)
  6. Present you to the client for an interview
  7. Provide you with access to TEKsystems’ Virtual Support Community, a key resource center for current TEKsystems technical professionals
  8. Walk you onto the job site and introduce you to the client’s hiring manager
  9. Provide you with continued support and follow up. In fact, you will receive feedback after the first day, week, and month on the job, as well as an exit interview

This last step is what makes our SPP a true process, because we can incorporate this feedback into your next job opportunity. We re-hire great performers – in fact, 45 days prior to completion of a project, TEKsystems will work with you to determine your next opportunity.
