Graphic Design jobs involve working with employees (in-house) or external customers to create, printed collateral, web design layouts, banners, advertisements and many other high quality designs.
Duties generally include using desktop publishing and other specialized computer software to design, organize, and prepare a variety of text, illustrative and graphics materials, and perform related tasks as determined to be necessary.
A Degree in Art, Marketing, Graphic Design and/or Visual Communications, or equivalent work experience is usually required. Graphic Design jobs tend to require experience in project planning, computer proficiency, knowledge of the production process, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work individually or in a group setting. A good eye for typography, proficiency on both a PC and MAC platforms and a high level of knowledge in multiple design programs are a plus.
