Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert or CCIE jobs may involve working with employees (in-house) or external customers to create scalable network designs, build, implement, maintain and troubleshoot highly complex network infrastructures. Perform network assessments as needed to ensure compliance to standards, provide highly detailed low level design documents, including device descriptions and narratives describing the function of the design and testing network equipment.

A CCIE certification is generally required for these positions, but highly talented Cisco CCNP’s will often be considered for hire. CCIE jobs can be found in these specialty fields: Routing and Switching, IP Interior Gateway Routing Protocols, Border Gateway Protocol, Multicast Routing, Quality of Service, Security, IP and IOS Features.
