TEKsystems Company Background - 25 Plus Years of Unrelenting Customer Service
In 1983, two entrepreneurs created Aerotek, a company that paired contract employment
and consulting with top-notch customer service. Hard work and an unmatched dedication to customers and contract employees
earned the company over $1 million in its first year of operation.
Through the remainder of the 1980s, Aerotek developed several subsidiaries (Data Temps, Aerotek Data Services Group,
Maxim Group) that expanded its service offerings to include applications, infrastructure, and communications staffing, in
addition to aeronautics, engineering, and light industrial staffing.
TEKsystems® split from Aerotek in the 1990s to focus specifically on technical staffing and managed service
solutions. As a result of TEKsystems’ commitment to developing services aligned to customer needs, the company emerged as
the leading provider of applications, infrastructure, and communications staffing and services in 2000.
Since our founding, TEKsystems has grown to a global provider of IT staffing and services with over 90 office locations
